The Analyzing Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) Data workshop is an in-depth eight hour workshop focusing on getting results!  It is one of the most exciting workshops that we offer.  Now you can actually determine your current fitness level and measure your improvements during your training program.  No more surprise finishes during your events.  You will be able to understand what your body can do and how to get the best performance out of it!

Overview

This workshop is designed for people that have been using their downloadable heart rate monitor for at least three months.  Participants will have a chance to review sample data and then analyze their own data from the previous three months.  It is recommend that participants bring three months worth of heart rate data into class electronically (notebook, USB drive or CD) or in paper format.

The workshop covers the following topics:

Designing and implementing a Fitness Test

Calculating your Anaerobic Threshold

Determining your optimum stress/rest ratio

bullet

Determining your recovery rate

bullet

Utilizing your Resting Heart Rate Data

The workshop contains hands on exercises for all the topics.  Participants will be able to determine their AT during class with a running exercise.  Each participant must be physically fit and able to perform the test.  A signed medical waiver will be required.
