The HandsOn Polar workshop is designed for anyone that wants to learn how to utilize their Polar S-Series (S610, S625, S710, S720, S725) downloadable heart rate monitor (HRM) and the Polar Precision Performance 4.0 software that came with the HRM to maximize their health, fitness and performance.

The HandsOn Polar workshop is an in-depth eight (8) hour workshop that focuses on getting results from the Polar hardware and software!

Please note: Attendance at a Maximizing Performance with a Heart Rate Monitor workshop is required before registering for the Hands On Polar workshop.

Overview

This workshop is designed for people that own a Polar S-Series (S610, S625, S710, S720, S725) downloadable heart rate monitor and would like to learn how to utilize all the features.   Workshop participants must bring their own Polar S-Series HRM to the workshop.   After installing the Polar Precision Performance (PPP) Software, the workshop attendee will have the chance to learn how to set up exercise sets customized to their workouts.  They will also learn how to navigate through the PPP's functions and features.

The workshop will finish off the morning session with the attendee creating their own exercise sets to use during the run at lunch time.  

The afternoon session will start with downloading the heart rate data gathered during lunch.  It will continue on to charting the heart rate data and reviewing Training Program Reports.  The afternoon session will conclude with some customization of PPP.

Customizing PPP to meet your requirements

The workshop requires each attendee to bring their own laptop (or notebook) computer and have a either a built-in IrDA device or an external Polar IR interface.  The computer must be using Windows XP as its operating system.   Each participant must bring their downloadable Polar S-Series (S610, S625, S710, S720, S725) heart rate monitor. Each participant must be physically fit and able to complete a run during lunch.  A signed medical waiver will be required.

Private Workshops

A private Polar - Hands On Workshop workshop is a great way to learn how to utilize your Polar S-Series downloadable heart rate monitor (HRM) and the Polar Precision Performance 4.0 software in a small personalized learning environment.

The workshop can be held at a private residence or a company's workplace.  The location needs to be quiet, comfortable and conducive to learning.

Private workshop rates are very reasonable starting at $500 for a minimum of five (5) persons, each person 6 through 10 will be charged $100 per person.

A completed Coordinator Private Workshop Request Form is required to schedule the private workshop.

Please submit the completed Coordinator Private Workshop Request Form  at least five (5) business days prior to the requested private workshop date.

Once the completed Coordinator Private Workshop Request Form is received an instructor will be scheduled based on instructor's availability.

A completed Attendee Private Workshop Registration Form due from all the attendees except the coordinator at least five (5) business days prior to the start of the private workshop.  (HeartFit will need time to make sure that every attendee has the material necessary to maximize their performance during the workshop)
