Heart Rate Monitors Used HRM For Sale - In order to help first time heart rate monitor users reduce the cost of getting started maximizing their performance with a heart rate monitor, I have a few used Polar downloadable heart rate monitors available. These units are being offered to anyone that has attended the Maximizing Performance with a Heart Rate Monitor workshop. HRM Condition - All of the units have been tested and are working correctly. They are all in great condition. There is no implied warranty with the units, but I will make sure that you have a completely working unit at the time of the sale. It is up to you to keep the unit in as good as condition as when you purchased it. HRM Durability - Polar HRM units are very durable, when treated properly. They will last for years as long as they are not abused. I have a couple of personal units that I have been using since 1998. Other than getting the battery changed once per year, they are maintenance free. HRM Service - If your unit stops working, please contact me. If the unit only needs a battery, (I have plenty of batteries for all of the units) I will make sure the unit receives a fresh battery at no additional charge to you. If the unit needs more than a battery (few of them ever do), then it is up to you to have the unit serviced at an authorized Polar Service Center. Owner's Manuals - Some of the units have original owner's manuals. Manuals for units that do not come with a manual can be found at the Polar Library and Support web page. Purchasing a Used HRM - If you would like to purchase a unit, please review the list and send me an email with the particular unit that you would like to purchase. Remember, all units are subject to prior sale. I will try to keep the list current. Click here for the PDF file listing the units for sale. Caution for Swimmers - Please do not use a Used HRM under water. In order to keep the cost down, the batteries have been changed without changing the water seal. The seal is still intact, but may leak if the unit is placed under water pressure. Do not worry about sweating, washing the HRM or using the units in the rain. All units will function correctly under these conditions. If you decide to purchase a new HRM or have your Used HRM serviced by an authorized Polar Service Center, they can be used under water. Please do NOT press the buttons under water for any HRM. It does not matter if the unit is new or used, neither units will survive, if the units buttons are pressed under water! Accurex Plus and XTrainer Plus Downloading - Anyone that is interested in purchasing an Accurex Plus or XTrainer Plus, must also purchase an Interface Plus – RS232 unit in order to download the data. The Interface Plus units are not available new anymore. So, please treat them like an expensive watch. The Interface Plus units retailed for over $250, so finding used ones is very hard. S-Series Downloading - Anyone that is interested in purchasing a S-Series HRM, must purchase an IR Interface unit unless their notebook or laptop computer has a built-in IrDA port. (Most current computers do NOT have a built-in IrDA port.) The Polar IR Interface is NOT a current product. There are a few used ones available for sale at a price of $25. If you are purchasing a used Polar model that ends with an "i" or "X" (i.e. S610i or S625X), you will be able to use the current Polar IrDA USB 2.0 Adapter. HeartFit usually has these adapters in stock. Sell Back Option - In order to exercise the "Sell Back" option, you must have attended the Maximizing Performance with a Heart Rate Monitor workshop.
